Here are two articles about NFTs. If you don’t know what an NFT is, you should consider yourself lucky. The cynic in me sees these JPEG files being sold for small fortunes and thinks that surely we must be somewhere in the final chapters of this bubble. When the reckoning comes, it will not be pretty.

I would add to the issue of work defining a person that in addition to the increased discrepancy between the best-paid people and worst-paid people, there has also been a change in the attitude toward how much profit is enough. Just as it used to be enough for a company leader to make 10-20-50 times as much as their employees, and now it's more like 300x, there's been an escalation in what is considered a reasonable return on investment. That's partly why we don't pay people well and do everything possible to keep them underpaid - to secure maximum profits. Workers are widgets, leaders are indispensable. If you're not making a 15% profit, you're not doing well enough. Wrong-headed thinking IMHO
